In June the Council launched its CO2mmunities fund, with £200,000 available for "exciting, innovative projects that will save carbon, inspire others to act and result in long-term and wide scale positive change." Excluding an AFSL contract, no funds have been dispersed, and the deadline - December 10 - looms. Applicants are advised to discuss their project ideas with the Green City Team before submitting their bid, by calling Esther Barnes on 0161 234 4226 or emailing e.barnes@manchester.gov.uk.
